First Unofficial Photos and Unboxing Video of The TECNO Boom J8

In January, Mobilityarena reportedly shared exclusive photos of HIOS, TECNO’s new custom user interface.  Now here are the first official photos of the smartphone that will debut this new UI. Say hello to the TECNO Boom J8 along side its Boom Headphone accessory that ships with it....yeah you read right.

It's no longer a rumor that the TECNO Boom J8 will be launched this month as a trusted anonymous tipster placed its bet on the 17th of March.

If you observe closely, you would see that this is a revamped design when compared its predecessor, the Boom J7 and infact, any other TECNO Smartphone on the market. It's also not far-fetching to mistake this sleek new Boom J8 for the Apple iPhone flagship.

Here’s a brief run down of the specs:

• 76.84*153.3*7.35mm dimensions.
• 5.5 inch Display with 1080*720 resolution.
• 2 GB RAM/16 GB ROM.
• 3000 mAh battery.
• 13 MP/5 MP camera with front facing flash.
• Android 5.1 Lollipop (with TECNO HiOS) upgradeable to Android 6.0.
• Notification Light a.k.a Breathing Light  (you'd never guess where)

Wait there's more, we also bring you the first unofficial unboxing video of the TECNO Boom J8. Enjoy!

*** The TECNO Boom J8 is currently available at every 3CHUB store for 41,000 (Price)  as at 24th of March 2016***

Photos of The TECNO Boom J8 and HiOS Surface in Kenya

The BOOM J8 has been leaked by a number of blogs in guess where?! Kenya!

First seen on a Kenyan Blog, Mobitrends and then shared to nairaland, it looks like someone from the inside got sloppy with his own phone and  accidentally allowed an undercover blogger take shots, although we did not see any box or packaging.

Plus the news on star.co.keseems to be the proof we have been looking for cos the article says at the end; sponsored.

We know that sometimes mobile phone manufacturers release some devices in different countries within a short time frame so Nigerians, get ready for the J8.

The specs are everything we have always dreamed about, at least I know I have. Imagine 2GB ram on a 5.5” screen…..Match made in heaven!

Here are the pictures spread around the Web that is claimed to have been the BOOM J8 so far. Nothing so far about the price and whether the camera will be as good as that of the Camon C8. What OS does it come with? Techsawamentioned it as HiOS and give us hints of what to expect from it.

It’s unlike TECNO to whet our appetite without delivering sooner than we expect so let’s watch and see what’s going to happen next, hopefully it’s news that hit closer to home(Nigeria)
