Microsoft's Visual Studio IDE comes to the Mac


For years now, Visual Studio has been a Windows exclusive application but beginning later this month, Microsoft will be bringing their popular IDE to Apple's MacOS. At launch, the new Visual Studio IDE on Mac will not support everything that the Windows version supports but this first release will include support for languages like .NET, C# and F#. It will also include support for Android and iOS development through Xamarin.

The Mac version of Visual Studio is built through an open source MonoDevelop IDE platform. While the classic Visual Studio design from Windows will not be inherrited from this first iteration of Visual Studio for the Mac, features like IntelliSense code completion and powerful debugging are included,
